OUR PROTECTORS ESSAY ENGLISH

The policeman is one of the most important people in public life. He spells confidence, protection, reliability, obedience to the law. It is quite another matter that the confidence of the public in recent years is shaken, as far as the police is concerned, due to certain mishaps,

but in the larger picture-the police are the most dependable people we can turn to when any problems occur. No government or society can function without the police force.

Life is not a bed a roses for the policemen, who have to be on duty for hours on end, facing all sorts of hazards and discomforts, therefore, it is imperative that they are physically fit. This is in relation to traffic policemen, in particular, for they have to stand on duty for hours at a stretch in the scorching heat or icy cold winter fog.

Being the protector of the law makes him a well wisher, his authority is undisputed and unquestioned. Sometimes, like all power holders, control can be misused, but this is human error and the police force on the whole cannot be held responsible for individual failings.

A great deal of discipline is demanded in this job, where the junior policemen are answerable to their superiors at all times. In terms of monetary gains, a policeman may not have abundant wealth, but he is the wealthiest of all, because of the good work he does.
