Benefits of practicing yoga are countless. Human body can be developed further through yoga. It builds our strength and gives immense happiness. Yoga is the valuable gift Ayurveda has given us.


With yoga, one can preserve the energy of the body and can look younger for ever. There is a direct connection between our mental and physical health. A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. A person who is mentally fit never bothers about strenuous physical activities he has to go through. 


But if we have mental tensions, we get tired and irritated immediately. When we are tensed we cannot concentrate on our activities and fail to solve our problems. Such mental strain gives rise to various diseases like heart problems, blood pressure, diabetes etc.


Yoga has easy solutions to get relief from such problems. Aasana like Pranayam, Shavasan, deep breathing helps to relieve the mental tensions and we feel comfortable. Today, our life has become very fast. 


We are so much engrossed in our routine that we have no time to look after ourselves. The surrounding atmosphere is much polluted. Our food habits are changing and we are shifting to all sorts of junk food. Thus it has become very difficult to stay healthy and to avoid various ailments. 


So, one must practice yoga at least for 10-15 minuets daily in order to stay fit. Apart from physical and mental peace it also develops values like politeness, sacrifice and humanity. It improves one's overall personality.


The awareness for yoga is increasing in the society. Yoga camps are organized every now and then, because people are experiencing its benefits. Younger generation is also getting attracted towards it. We know the proverb, "A stitch is time saves nine". 


So it is better to avoid diseases than to later pay for them. So start adapting the habit of doing yoga and be the healthy, wealthy citizens of this country.
