My Childhood Memories Essay

My mom often tells me that I was quiet and calm during my childhood. I was never a stubborn child. I did not enjoy my schooling at the start, but this feeling did not last for a long time. While in standard first, I took part in the dress-competition and was selected as the first winner.

This incident instilled great confidence into me. The joy of the prize lasted for a long time. When I was reading in standard second my grandmother brought me to our village. I was fond of out-door games. I enjoyed playing games on our broad streets and school ground with my friends.

We have a large farm. During the vacation and other holidays, I used to go to our farm and helped our people. We have almost all seasonal fruits and vegetables, in our farm.During the holy month of Shravan, my grandmother read Ramayana and other religious books.

She read and explained her reading in a very systematic way. I enjoyed her readings and comments. I dreamt of becoming as brave and as strong as Bhima. Uttarayan and Diwali are the festivals of my choice. During Uttarayan days, I flew kites and I blissfully tasted different sweets during Diwali days.

Last year I joined my parents who work in a big city. I am an S.S.C. pupil at present. The childhood is no more with me now. The entire pattern of my life has been changed but some sweet memories of the past have not yet vanished. They are live and bright. After all, life knows no full-stop. It goes on and on. The full stop is for those who are not courageous.
